COMPETITIONS

Competitions are being conducted every year to train the pupils

PSG INTER SCHOOL-CHESS AND CARROM COMPETITION – 2025

PSG Inter School – Chess and Carrom Competition – 2025, was conducted by PSG Primary School, Peelamedu, on 3rd December 2025. Twelve pupils from our school participated in this competition and won First and Second prizes.

STATE LEVEL- KALAI THIRUVIZHA 2025

“State Level Kalai Thiruvizha- Art & Literary Competition – 2025 -2026” was  conducted on 25th November 2025 at Sri Saratha Niketan College of Science for Women, Karur, organized by TN Education Department.  Two pupils from our school participated in Story Telling and Rhymes Recitation.

BLOCK LEVEL- KALAI THIRUVIZHA 2025

“Block Level  Kalai Thiruvizha  2025 – 2026 ( Art & Literary Competitions)” was conducted on 13th October 2025 at SES Matric Hr.Sec. School, Ganapathy, organized by TN Education Department. Ten Govt. Aided Schools in Perur Block participated in this event. Eighteen various competitions were conducted for classes 1 to 5. Twenty two pupils have won the First Place in ten events out of eighteen, as well as six second  prizes and two third  prizes. All the pupils who have won the first prize at the Block level have been qualified to participate in the District Level competitions.             

DISTRICT LEVEL- KALAI THIRUVIZHA 2024

“Kalai Thiruvizha-2024” –District Level Art & Literary Competitions were conducted by TN. Education Department which was held at KSG Arts and Science College, Singanallur on 13th November 2024. 21 pupils of our school participated in 8 categories, and won 6 prizes ( One First Prize and Five Second Prizes). Govt. Aided Schools from 15 blocks in Coimbatore District participated in these competitions.

SHANTI ASHRAM-CHILDREN’S DAY COMPETITION 2025

Two pupils of Standard V participated in the “Story telling Competition” on 20th November 2025, at M/s Shanti Ashram, Kovaipudur. P. Kiruthika of Standard V won the 1st prize and was awarded with a shield, a medal and a certificate.

KALAI THIRUVIZHA 2024

The TN Government is conducting “Kalai Thiruvizha -Art and Literary Competitions for 2025-2026”. Competitions were conducted at the school level from 18th to 20th August 2025. First prize winners were selected for the next level (CRC Level).

Pongal

“Pongal” is being celebrated every year in the school premises to mark the traditional values.

Competitions like Food without Flame (Healthy Food), Rangoli and Traditional Games are conducted for parents. The winners of the competitions are awarded in the Annual Day Celebration in the same year.

Sports Day

“PSG Inter-School Sports Meet- Sportic  2023-2024”  was conducted on 9th January & 6th February 2024, at  PSG  Public  Schools  which was  organized  by  PSG  Primary  School  along with PSG  High  School, Vedapatti.

Art & Literary Competition

District Level “Art & Literary Competition” was conducted on 15th October 2019 to mark the occasion of “Platinum Jubilee Celebration.”   Pupils from 13 Government Schools participated in it.

Children’s Day Competitions

Competitions are conducted every year by “Coimbatore Ladies Circle No .1’’ and “PSG Rural Health Centre,”  Vedapatti , to mark the occasion of Children’s Day.

Kamarajar’s Birthday Competitions

Literary competitions are being conducted every year on 15th  July in view of “Kamarajar Birthday.” Winners are honoured with prizes.

Hand-Writing Competition

Hand–writing competition is conducted every year in the school. Pupils who are selected in the first three places are awarded shields.
