FESTIVALS AND CELEBRATIONS

Pongal 2026

Pongal is  celebrated  every year in the month of January. Traditional games are  also conducted for  pupils and teachers. Sweet pongal is prepared by teachers and provided to all.


Republic Day -2026

“Republic Day” is  celebrated every year on 26th January in the school premises. Flags and sweets are  distributed to all pupils. Pupils perform cultural programmes related to Republic Day.


Foundation  Day

The Foundation Day – 2025 -2026 of the school was celebrated on 06th February 2026, at the school premises with full excitement. The programme started with a devotional song. Mr.Nandagopalan, School Secretary, gave the presidential address, Dr. B.Ramamoorthy, Secretary, TQM Council, PSG Institutions, was the Chief Guest.


Mupperum Vizha (முப்பெரும் விழா)-15th JULY

“Mupperum Vizha” (Kamarajar Birthday, Kalvi Valarchi Naal  and Tamil Literary Association Inauguration) is celebrated  every year on 15th July. The pupils perform various cultural programmes. Prizes are distributed to winners.


 

Independence Day-15th August

 “Independence Day” is celebrated on 15th August  every year.

 

“Teachers’ Day” was celebrated in the school premises on 5th September 2025 with full zeal and enthusiasm. Teachers Day greetings were sent to all the retired  teachers.

Various recreational games and activities were conducted for teachers.


 Gandhi Jayanthi

      “Gandhi Jayanthi”  was celebrated on 2nd October  2023.


Saraswathi  Pooja and Vijayadasami

“Saraswathi  Pooja and Vijayadasami” were celebrated on 2nd October 2025.


Children’s  Day

“Children’s Day” is celebrated every year on 14th November. “ Colours’ Day” and some other events are also  celebrated on that day.


Bharathiyar’s Birthday

“Bharathiyar’s  Birthday” is  celebrated every year on 11th  of December. Various programmes are  performed by the pupils.


Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam’s  Birthday

Former President, “Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam’s Birthday” is celebrated every year on 15th October.


 

International Yoga Day

“International Yoga Day” was celebrated every year on 21st  June.


 

Deepavali Celebration

Deepavali was celebrated on 17th October 2025 at the school premises. Pupils were instructed on the safety measure they have to follow while bursting crackers.
